Hi Cockers.... What does every1 think of the 2010 season kicking off overseas? ? Goes to show how much the bean counters at V8 SuperCars Australia think of the paying public at home, don't you think??? Surely, first & last race MUST be in Australia!!!!!!!! After all, it is Australia's premier race series.... Shame that we'll have to watch the start of a new era, with 888 running Holden's, on the box..... Unless you fancy a DRY trip to some distant land? ?? Some how don't think to many Cocker's are keen on that idea!!!!! Now I know it all has to do with the mighty $$$$$$$$$$$ & chasing it O/S is fair enough, however the paying public at home deserve to have the chance to see the 1st & last races of the season live, without selling a kidney on E-Bay!!!!! Fuck the almighty $$$$$$$$, without bums on seats, you ain't got nothing!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Wu... Don't be bashful, say what you think!!!! Me? With OP gone (and missed) and EC gone (and wgaf) Apart from Bathurst and maybe Homebush. They're all TV events? If the sheiks want to pour a few $mill into the Black Wiggle's super? Good on em!! For me the bigger issue is being F**ked over by Channel Serious and the AFL. It appears that now we will have "midseason break" Wanna talk almighty $$$$$$$$ ,read the AFL playbook. F**kem

Yes, it's all geared for TV.. However, without the paying public turning up to the race meetings, it's going to be a very sterile backdrop to the racing.. I'm all in favor of the events going off shore, however, the start of the season & the finish of the season should be held in our back yard!!!! Where ever they take it in between those 2 races, I couldn't give a rats arse!! ;D As for Channel Serious, I have to ask 'How serious are you' with that comment??? I remember when race coverage was at 11-30 on a Sunday night, due to the fact that our great national game HAD to be televised!!!!! Fast forward to today, enough $$$$$$ were thrown to the right people & hey presto, 10 out, 7 in.... Anyway, look on the bright side, 100yrs from now, who's going to know, who's going to care? ?

I agree Wu, 1st and last race should be on home soil, it just wont feel the same. they couldve had the o.s. races round 2 and 3 , but as you all say they are after the money. As for channel 7, it does piss me off how they cut it short due to footy, its only an extra 15-30 mins they would have to wait for footy. Dont get me wrong i love afl, but would they cut afl coverage short for anything??? i think not, they wanted the coverage so now they should live up to thier committment . Imagine if they had decided to cut P.I. short!!!!!!!! I dont even want to think about that lmao!!

Hey MD, it's not so much a case of Chunnel Serious wanting the V8 coverage, its more they DON'T want any1 else to have it!!!! Imagine if the general viewing public, poor dumb bastards we are, had the choice between AFL & V8 racing? By doing it the way they have, buying the rights to cover the season, they get to dictate who, how, where, when!! ;D Of course, Mr Cocker -Run, who would have added to his retirement fund from the deal being signed couldn't give a rat's arse about the series, apart from how much he makes from it!! If some overseas consortium offers the right amount of $$$$$$$$$$, he'd sell it quicker than Paddy could down a beer!! Anyway, doom & gloom aside, I'm looking forward to donning my towel, not have any alcohol while i watch the season opener's & heaping shit on all the Ford followers next year... Cause without 888, you guys haven't got a prayer!!!!!
